2021 Magnum Chardonnay
Source
Clone 95 from Duncan Vineyard on the Naramata Bench.
Winemaking
The fruit was hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed. Fermentation occurred in French oak barrels, using a combination of standard barrels and puncheons. The wine aged in barrel (25% new oak) for 10 months. The barrels underwent partial malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes
This chardonnay has delicious notes of pastry, vanilla, and a minerality on the nose with undertones of lemon curd. The palate has a beautiful viscosity and tropical fruit flavours of fresh pineapple and nectarine, followed by a lime zest finish.

Reviews
92 points. The wine begins with aromas of ripe pear, apple, citrus and vanilla. The palate is luscious, with tropical fruit flavours (nectarine and peach). The finish is quite long. This is a delicious wine. ~ John Schreiner on Wine
