Premium Chardonnay made from prized blocks of low yielding clone 95, a superior clone originating from the Côte d’Or, France. Whole cluster pressed, fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 11 months (40% new).
Complex aromatics with layers of ripe citrus and stone fruits mingling with marzipan and nutty oak elements. Rich and creamy on the palate with fresh mineral acidity; soft textures with strength and underlying power. Immediately approachable with cellaring potential reaching 7 years. 48 magnums produced.
Intense flavours of blueberry, blackberry, and wild flowers followed by more black fruit and hints of baked thyme and field mushrooms. The texture is juicy and soft with a long finish. Pair with mushroom risotto or grilled trout.
A beautiful floral aroma on the nose, with hints of preserved blueberry, and Christmas cake. Flavours of dark blackberry and plum follow on the palate with a long chocolate finish. Decant and enjoy now or cellar until 2030.
