2020 Pinot Noir Saddle Block

Source
Fruit sourced exclusively from the Saddle Block on our estate in South East Kelowna.
Winemaking
Pinot Noir clones 777, 667, 115, 828, and Mt. Eden are separately hand harvested, destemmed and kept cold for 5-7 days before spontaneous fermentation occurs. The total time on skins is 16 to 21 days. After gentle pressing the wine is matured in French oak for 13 months with approximately 25% new barrel.
Tasting Notes
Bright floral aromas, with dark ripe fruit and anise are found on the nose of this wine. With characters of Black Doris Plum, blueberry, piping tobacco, and dark chocolate on the palate. The wine is dense with ripe tannin and a lingering finish.
